CRN’s Annual General Meeting of 2016 and awards!

This year, the network’s Annual General Meeting was hosted by Congress Rental South Africa and was held in the captivating Cape Town! From the 15th until the 17th of January, the membership met in order to discuss, overview and plan the activities of 2016, while networking and having fun!

For this meeting the Board of Directors planned a lot of educational session and for this reason, a keynote speaker was invited as well as a University professor! Mr. Tom Stimson gave inside information on many interesting topics, while Professor Drikus Kriek introduced a new way of thinking to managers sitting around the table!

During the Annual General Meeting the Bosch Gala and Award Night takes place, where the Chairman of the Network gives out the awards for the Regional Members and the Member of the Year. For 2015, Mr. Gilles Goudreault, current Chairman of CRN, gave out the Award for outstanding contribution and performance. However, the night began with a very emotional moment when Mr. Goudreault presented the award in the loving memory of one of its founding members, Carlos de Elias and there to receive it was Mr. Antony James, representing Congress Rental Argentina.

Continuing with the ceremony, the winners were:

* Member of the Year of 2015 and Member of the EMEA Region: Congress Rental Austria – Kongresstechnik GmbH

Mr. Gerhard Koudelka and Mr. Claus Krenn to receive the awards

* Member for the APR region for 2015: Congress Rental Australia, who also won the Asia Pacific MICE award this year

Mr. Jeremy Ducklin, receiving the award

* Member of the Americas’ Region for 2015: Congress Rental USA, who won for a second time in a row

Mr. Fred Baysinger, receiving the award

   Nevertheless, two more awards were given, as the evening is called after its sponsor Bosch Conference Systems, on behalf of CRN’s partner -Bosch-, Mr. Lars Van den Heuvel presented the award from their side for the support and true hard work of one of the network’s members, Robotradee d.o.o. To receive the award, the Owner and Managing Director of Robotrade, Mr. Robert Omovsek!

   Congratulations to all and we are sure that it was a night and a meeting to remember from every aspect!
