Supporting the German Conference Interpreters Association in Stuttgart!

   On January 29th and 30th, our German member elakustik GmbH supported the annual members meeting of the Verband der Konferenzdolmetscher (VKD) im BDÜ e.V.  (German conference interpreters association) as sponsoring partner.

   The meeting was a hybrid event for the first time, and took place in the Pullman Fontana Hotel in Stuttgart. German team used a fully digital Bosch DICENTIS Conference System, software for camera tracking, Avonic NDI cameras and an online platform to connect on-site and remote participants.

   For showcases, a double booth (Audipack Silent 9600 ISO compliant) was set up on site to simulate a small interpreter HUB setup for single use due to Covid-19 restrictions, as well as a triple booth with two interpreters’ desks. All with Bosch DICENTIS DCNM-iDESKvid interpreter desks.

   At the same time, a remote workspace for CRN-RSI platform was set up for demo purposes.

   Voting proceedings were conducted by combining the on-site DICENTIS discussion devices and an online tool used by the remote participants.

   Mike Oskamp, representing elakustik on site commented by saying, “..the meeting was a very good success.
